This 1971, RHD Porsche 2.2S Coupe is currently undergoing concours restoration in our Classic Porsche workshop in Newport Pagnell and will be completed in Autumn 2010. A genuine matching-numbers car presented with Porsche documentation and restoration file.
The car was completed at Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen in 1971 and supplied new as a Right Hand Drive model via AFN Limited, Isleworth. It was original presented with Metallic Blue (324) body colour and black leatherette interior, the car will be finished using the original colour scheme.
Registered in the UK on the 01.07.1971, the car was retained by its first owner until mid 1975, several changes of ownership took place during the late seventies and eighties eventually ending up in the hands of a Mr. Powell from Truro who purchased the car in 1987. After many years of daily use on English roads, a colour change to blood and back to Metallic Blue the car was eventually laid up in 1994. We purchased the car as a running restoration project and brought the car back to our workshop having been in dry storage for 14 years.
In 2008 we prepared the car for a meticulous ground-up restoration and mechanical rebuild. The car has been completely striped, chemical dipped and E-coated. The rebuild will include; new floors, front and rear quarters, front latch panel, doors etc. Mechanically the car will undergo a full engine rebuild, new brakes, suspension and complete interior retrim.
This car represents a rare opportunity to acquire a matching numbers Porsche 911 2.2S Coupe that will be restored to concours condition complete with, original registration documents and comprehensive Export 56 restoration file. UK registered with MOT and historic vehicle tax status.
