We are pleased to offer this exceptionally rare RHD matching numbers 2.4S Targa. 1 of only 3 silver Targa’s originally imported by AFN Limited in 1973 with only 2 cars are known to be existence in the UK today! A genuine matching-numbers car, supported with a large history file.
The car was completed at Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen in late 1972 and supplied new as a Right Hand Drive model via AFN. It was original presented with Silver Metallic (925) body colour and Black leatherette interior, the car is finished in the original colour scheme.
Registered in the UK on the 18.02.1973, the car was retained by its first owner until 1978, several changes of ownership took place during the late seventies and eighties eventually ending up in the hands of a Mrs. Ellis from Inverness who purchased the car in 1992. After several years of daily use on the Scottish Highlands the car was purchased in 2002 by an employee of B S Motorsport - a Porsche race and restoration specialist.
During the ownership of the previous owner the car has undergone an extensive restoration including body, suspension, brakes and a top end engine rebuild with the heads being re-machined with new valves and valve guides. The car is supported by a documented history file and shows MOT’s and receipts dating back to the early 80’s.
This car represents a rare opportunity to acquire a matching numbers Porsche 911 2.4S Targa supplied with original registration documents and comprehensive history file. UK registered with MOT and historic vehicle tax status.
