We are proud to offer for sale this beautiful 1959, RHD 356A Coupe. A genuine matching-numbers, corrosion-free South African Porsche 356 A Coupe, which has been correctly restored to concours condition.
The car was completed at Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen in 1959 and supplied new via the South African importer Lindsay Saker Motors, Johannesburg. It was original presented with Ivory 5704 body colour and red leatherette interior, this scheme still current on the car.
Registered in Johannesburg on the 23rd April 1959, the car ultimately found a long-term home in the ownership of Mr. Robert Wilson, between 1966 and 1997. After many years of daily use, Wilson eventually set about a meticulous ground-up restoration and mechanical rebuild of the car to concours winning condition. In 2001 the car was purchased by a Mr Boaler from Somerset who brought the car to the UK and subsequently used the car for sunny day driving only! More recently the car was presented at our AFN Garage Recreation at the 2008 Goodwood Revival.
This car has been restored regardless of cost and represents a rare opportunity to acquire a matching numbers Porsche 356A Coupe, in outstanding condition throughout, complete with, original registration documents, comprehensive restoration file. UK registered with MOT and historic vehicle tax status, ready for immediate use.
