Completed at Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen in April 1962 and supplied new as a Left Hand Drive model to the US. This beautifully restored example was originally presented in Heron Grey (6207) body colour with contrasting Green Leatherette interior, the car has been finished using the original colour scheme. As stated on the original build sheet the car was fitted with the following factory options; Floor mats, radio, antenna and seat belts.
In 2009 we set about a meticulous ground-up restoration and mechanical rebuild of the car taking some 18 months to complete. The body has undergone a complete strip and rebuild including; new floors, longitudinals, front clip, closing panels, door skins etc. The engine and gearbox have been stripped and rebuilt, along with a total refurbishment of the running gear. The interior has also been completely retrimmed with new headlining, rubber mat set and is finished off with a set of coco floor mats. The original radio and clock have been stripped and rebuilt and are in working order.
This car has been restored by Export 56 regardless of cost and represents an opportunity to acquire a matching numbers Porsche 356B Coupe. The car will be sold with a comprehensive restoration file and supporting documentation.
