The car was completed at Stuttgart, Zuffenhausen in 1961 and supplied new as a Right Hand Drive model to its English owner in Italy. It was original presented with Condor Yellow 6010 body colour and black/beige leather interior, the car has been finished using the original colour scheme.
Registered in Rome on the 18.11.1961, the car was retained by its first owner until 1975, 2 further change of owners and many years of daily use on Italian roads eventually saw the car laid up in 1984. The car was then purchased as a running restoration project by a Mr Kemble from Surrey who brought the car to the UK and subsequently dry stored the car for 22 years.
The car has undergone a meticulous ground-up restoration and mechanical rebuild. The body has been completely stripped, chemically dipped and rebuilt with all new metalwork including; new floors, longitudinals front and rear clips, door skins etc. In addition the car benefits from a full engine rebuild, new brakes, suspension, wiring loom, rubber seals, all new external trim and light units. The interior has undergone a complete retrim in black leather and corduroy, new headlining and carpet set.
